The Specialist-Led Islamic Education Framework

3 phases expert-led education framework:

Expert-led subjects

Live lessons are taught by teachers with the subject knowledge to explain clearly, challenge appropriately and prepare students for recognised qualifications.

A clear individualised plan

Baseline information, subject targets, regular checkpoints and intervention plans keep support relevant to the child in front of us.

Structure parents can see

Timetables, trained platform use, a student liaison officer, reports and parent meetings remove guesswork from learning at home.

How did we transform online homeschooling?

“The excellent team at PGA show care and attention to detail with our children at the school; and this is what we were looking for in an online school.”

Asad Layth · PGA parent

“The academic progression of my daughter has way exceeded our expectation. She has made outstanding progress in her subjects in such a short time.”

Faizal Karim · PGA parent

“My son was given 1-to-1 attention from his teachers; they know his strengths and weaknesses. This helped him progress in all subjects.”

Dr Hasan Aman · PGA parent

“I really enjoyed the retreat because I get to see my teachers and was able to hang out with my friends in person—other online schools don’t have this.”

Ibraheem Khan · PGA student

Questions careful parents ask

Still wondering whether online school can really work for your child?

Will I need to teach my child?

No. PGA provides live, teacher-led lessons, structured learning and assessment. Parents support routines, technology and appropriate participation, but they are not expected to design and teach the curriculum.

How do students interact and make friends?

Students learn in live small groups and can interact through teacher-led discussion, microphone, chat, group work and school activities. PGA also offers community experiences such as clubs and optional residential or outdoor programmes.

How will I know whether my child is progressing?

You are not expected to wait until the end of the year. PGA establishes a baseline, checks progress and engagement around half term, then provides end-of-term assessment results, subject-specialist parent meetings and clear targets for what comes next.

What happens during the first two weeks?

Students are trained to join lessons, use the learning platforms and submit work independently. Parents receive platform orientation, while baseline information and subject targets establish a clear starting point.

Can students work towards IGCSEs and A-Levels?

Yes. PGA offers Edexcel International GCSE and International A-Level pathways and is an approved Pearson Edexcel Online Centre. Admissions can explain subjects, placement and examination arrangements for your child.

What technology will my child need?

A laptop or desktop with a modern operating system, webcam, headset with microphone and stable internet connection are essential. PGA recommends at least 8 GB RAM, a connection of 10 Mbps download and 2 Mbps upload per student, and a quiet, well-lit workspace.

What are the registration fee and deposit?

A £50 non-refundable registration fee is required during the admissions process. After a successful assessment and interview, a £500 refundable deposit secures the place. The offer and admissions policy confirm refund and notice terms.

Can students join from outside the UK?

Yes. Overseas students are welcome where the UK timetable is practical for the family and the student demonstrates strong written and spoken English.

Can we speak to someone before applying?

Yes. A free admissions consultation is the recommended first step for families who want to understand the programme, placement, fees or online learning before making an application.
